Ayurveda means "the science of life". The principles of positive health, natural beauty and long life are recorded in it. Ayurveda believes that health is maintained by the balance of three fine energies, known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These energies account for all forms of matter (Kapha), the force and direction they move (Vata), and the transformations they go through (Pitta).
Thousands of years ago, Ayurveda was revealed to the rishis of India. It unfolded to them through their rigorous and devoted hours of meditation and prayer. They understood that Ayurveda could create as well as destroy the health of a person.
All life forms present in the Universe possess these qualities. Ayurveda aims at bringing together in a harmonious manner to promote physical, emotional and spiritual growth. In Ayurveda, the beauty of the inner and outer self are given due importance. The more we care for ourselves, the more our beauty and radiance gets enhanced - regardless of our shape and contours.
Beauty, in the other fields, may emphasize on the way we look and the qualities we possess. But Ayurveda delves deeper. Besides the skin texture, hair type and body quality, Ayurveda lays accent on the way we move and carry ourselves, the lifestyle we follow, the freshness we emanate etc.
